Could This Be God's Favorite Work?

I can't get the phrase transforming love out of my mind.

I keep wondering if that could be God's favorite work: to invite us into experiencing His love so that we are transformed into whom He gifted us to become.

This morning I read about Patty Huntsman (Guideposts, Blue Yonder). Her lifelong dream of becoming a pilot was crushed by an aviator she met on her high school's career day. He told her eyeglasses and being female were virtually impossible obstacles to overcome.

Then why did her dream continue to grow? It became unquenchable.

As God slowly (and He can be so-o-o slow) opened doors, not only did she become a pilot:
...I learned something far beyond how to fly a plane. I learned to believe in myself. And that God loved me. That He would always be there for me. That changed my life.
A beautiful example of transforming love...quite possibly God's favorite work.

Sometimes we try to make God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit mostly about saving us for eternity. They want us to be saved now, transformed now, freed now to become the you and me we were designed to be.

Lord, help me allow You to help me become all that You made me to be.
