Truth Darkened

Truth is sometimes darkened by our frame of reference.

When we are hostile toward a person or group, we twist truth to suit our view of him or them.

Think of someone or some group for whom you have disdain.

Could they, in your eyes, do anything right?

Everyone does something right, at least at times, so a negative reference point holds them hostage in your mind, incapable of good.

Such a dangerous place to visit.

It is a downward spiral into tearing up someone or a group of someones, all created by God, all with a purpose, all with a heart--none completely good, none completely bad.

This place in our minds is absent of wisdom. There is no ground given to God for change of heart. The ground remains stubbornly impenetrable, sprouting seeds only from a mindset in which truth is darkened.

Relationship dies. Negative, critical feelings are the fruit grown instead.

I dread the moment of truth illuminated by the very face of God, asking why I held that person or group hostage to my darkened view of truth.

Plow, God, plow. Plant only seeds of truth made bright by Your view.
