If in your secret heart, where only God sees, you side with the brother of the prodigal son--that is, you are a little miffed (or maybe outright annoyed) that bad brother gets ringed, robed and royally treated, then you should probably skip this content.

This is the best news I can imagine that might reach those who will filter it with propaganda ears--ears who have decided they know more about God and how he works than the rest of us and thus jump and thump and scream "Heresy!" instead of wondering if this best news could be true.
I'm wondering if this best news could be true.
Worst case scenario, this is a heart-check for us as Protestants and evangelicals. Best case: truth that is staggering.
All I can manage today is a prayer to move forward:
Lord, you know my heart. I feel like I'm about to have a conversation with a stick of dynamite. Stop what shouldn't be written. Protect what should. I care most that your heart is blessed and your love proclaimed.
