Our favorite TV personalities;
An annual vacation spot;
Your child's face;
Your mom's face.Of course, it works in the opposite direction as well. We can famously interact with the negative:
Too many bottles of beer;
Over and over facing that bully at school;
That churning memory of our greatest regret.Can we make repeated exposure useful to us in the God-direction? Wouldn't it be wise to make God famous to us?
God chases us with his unconditional love, but it is up to us to contrive ways to expose ourselves repeatedly to who he is. If he was on our TV screen each day, he would pull our fame trigger. If we saw his literal face in our household each morning, he would hold a secure place in our heart's hall of fame.
Invisible makes it harder to contrive repeated exposure.
There's hope, though, in a quirky sort of way. We are spirit beings. At the end of this earthly road, our bodies will part ways with the invisible side of us.
So can't invisible talk to invisible? I believe so. Wouldn't repeated exposure be easier if we were contriving for our invisible to interact with God as Super Invisible?
The first step may be slowing down to find right channel that tunes us into our spirit side. It is the quieter channel, the one that can get so easily overlooked. On the days we tune in, we repeat our exposure to that amazing part of us that yearns for God. Our spirit side becomes famous to...us.
If we cultivate our invisible, it will help us find Super Invisible. Then we'll realize that we are famous to him because we are before him at all times. He cares for each of us so much that he doesn't miss a minute of our existence.
Repeated exposure makes us famous to God. That is breathtaking.
I want to make him famous to me.
