The People of Israel...gathered as one person in the town square...and asked the scholar Ezra to bring the Book of The Revelation of Moses that God had commanded for Israel.The congregation gathers for Sunday service as their pastor prepares to teach, according to the leadership of the Spirit of God.
So Ezra the priest brought the Revelation to the congregation, which was made up of both men and women--everyone capable of understanding...all the people listened--they were all ears--to the Book of The Revelation.So the pastor brings his teaching to the congregation, made up of everyone capable of understanding. The people listen with all ears to the meaning through music and spoken word.
Then Ezra praised God, the great God, and all the people responded, "Oh Yes! Yes!" with hands raised high.Worship through word and song praises God, our great God, and the people respond with hands raised high.
This day is holy to God...the joy of God is your strength.This day is holy to God because we are seeking him, finding him and praising him. That brings joy to God and that joy is fed to us as strength.
When God finds joy in our worship, it mysteriously converts to us as strength.
On this day, we can feed our strength by bringing joy to God, our great God, through a gathering of worship.
