Carry Us to Undeniable: Creation

Our discussion was centered around his confusion; he wanted to believe God and Jesus but said his mind just wouldn't let him.

I said, "Perhaps we need to take a step back. Look around you. What item in the universe, man-made or not, appeared without some kind of designer?"
Would all the parts of an airplane, house, car--thrown into a giant bag and tossed together--come out as an airplane...house...car?
Did the detail and working parts of a leaf, an eyeball, a universe need the imagination and skill of a someone, a Someone?
All scientists (including doctors) and builders and designers and ponderers of every description should have the mind power most easily persuaded to believe in creation. They know working parts and/or creative design better than the rest of us. Not the case. I often wonder why.

Our conversation took a different turn. I took a deep breath and stepped in:
You are denying what is undeniable. It is a place of choice you have entered, not a place of confusion.
I ventured that if a face-to-face with God took place that very day, the question might be asked of him:
Why are you denying what you see all around you, that I (God) have made abundantly clear?
Perhaps the invisible enemies of God swirl around us to tempt us into denial. Perhaps we enter into stubbornness on our own because if God is God, then what is required of us?

I ponder why those who deny God ponder and don't find him. I want to understand. I want them to find the place where they give themselves permission to know God, because therein they will find themselves loved.

The enemy of God would never want us to know that.

To deny being loved. Now that is something to ponder.

Tomorrow: Undeniable Grace.
