Holy is a Place

Any and every place is personal and holy if we meet God there.

When we carry Him into a setting, the setting becomes holy.

When we treat each other with Christ-centered kindness and respect, God is there and the interaction becomes holy.

When we work inside our gifting and our strengths, we honor God and He is there. Our work becomes holy.

It is easy to forget that God is so present in our interactions. His quality of invisible sometimes translates in our thinking to out of sight, out of mind.

It is a burden to live with holy in all of our spaces. We fall so short so often, behaving in ways that rather dishonor His holy presence.

But, above all, He knows us. Better than we know ourselves. Apparently, He loves us so much that He accompanies us even to our worst moments, applying His holiness and encouraging us to move ourselves in His direction.

Lord, help me to see holy in a new way today, and to honor You with my new understanding.
