What would it take on our part to see, when we looked in the mirror, a glimpse of Jesus?
Perfection allowed but impossible for us.
Sin not allowed but always present in us.
Is there any hope we might reflect Jesus?
Jesus wasn't bossy. He was quietly the Boss.
Jesus wasn't gloomy. He brought light into any space.
Jesus didn't avoid crumpled people. He moved into their lives with eyes and heart focused right on them.
So...for us?
We can lead ourselves and others with quiet authority and kindness.
We can live in an aura of thankfulness and thus bring light into any space.
We can embrace crumpled people. We can move into their lives with eyes and heart focused right on them.
Will we see Jesus in the mirror?
We will actually see the crumpled person we have been, loved first by Jesus, set to rights to exclusively love others.
