God, the Internet and My Book List
Several days ago, I threw up a passing prayer for God to create a new reading list for me. It was one of those prayers that was in and out so fast, I scarcely remember it.
Until I received a comment on a recent post from an author in Israel.
The post was two days ago: Our Work is to Rest. The comment was from Israel Harel, author of Enter the Rest. It appears to be a fascinating book with an in-depth look at the intimacy of rest based on the book of Hebrews.
Now what are the odds that an author who has started a Hebrew-speaking Messianic congregation in the Jezreel Valley in north Israel would come across my blog on exactly the day that ties it to his book?
I can tell you the odds that it is the first book on my "new" book list--I'm ordering today.
Thanks, God, for getting back to me so quickly.
